amazing how much that is changing and impacting society and culture and so quickly too

so much gets exposed and discussed that most people used to be mostly ignorant about

not saying it hasnt led to unintended consequences as well but overall I think it is very much a good thing

Because phone cameras are low resolution and have shitty digital zooming. We'd have clear photos of Bigfoot if everyone had a high end DSLR or MILC with a telephoto lens with them.

The 8-year-old flip phone I got rid of two years ago? Sure. Pretty much any smartphone purchased in the past half decade? Not so much. Digital zoom still sucks, and that's what most of them rely on because it's kinda hard to fit multiple lenses into that kind of form factor, but the resolutions on them are more than high enough to get at least a decent picture, if not one that's as good as what a proper camera can do.

It takes my 11-yr-old a minimum of half of an hour to make a plan to go to someone's house because they insist on doing it over text. If two friends are involved it may or may not happen in a day.
