What is your vaping status?

I knocked my nicotine down to 1.5mg from 16mg, thinking of putting it down and picking up some hard candies to pull me through any withdraws I might have sometime next week. I've been vaping on and off since 2012 so I don't want to underestimate it but 1.5mg is pretty low.

Never vaped so I can't really comment on that specific use of nicotine. But I used to dip. About 1-2 cans of Grizzly per day. I smoked cigarettes on top of dipping too.

I ended up quitting virtually by accident in the sense that one day I had a craving for whole leaf chewing tobacco like Levi Garrett which I hadn't had in awhile. I realized I wasn't getting the same nicotine fix at all whatsoever from it so I just kind of rolled with it.

What helped me big time was chewing on plastic straws, like those little ones they have at bars and serve with a cocktail like whiskey and Coke. You could also suck air through the straw and "simulate the feeling of smoking" which might be a good "simulation" for weening off of vaping as well. So while my situation isn't 100% relatable maybe that can help?

Now the extent of my nicotine use is that I enjoy a good cigar about once a month, with zero cravings for the old worm dirt or cigarettes

That's good and thank you for the tip. I may actually give that a shot when I go shopping for some Jolly Ranchers I'll pick some up. There is also the option of vaping 0mg juice but it still carries with it all of the downsides of vaping such as keeping things charged, buying said juice and whatever they find out about it that is bad in 50 years time.

Tomorrow is going to be over 100F, not sure if I'll be able to motivate myself to go to the store but surely sometime this week I will.

I suggest switching to zero nic first, rather than quitting directly from 1.5mg. You may even want to go to 1mg or 0.5mg if you can before going to zero, too. I say this as someone who successfully quit smoking using vaping, then later successfully quit vaping.

EDIT: To be clear, I'm not saying stay on zero permanently. Just make zero nic a step between 1.5mg and vape-free.

Unfortunately the store near me only sells 3mg and 0 so I've been eyeballing it and mixing to get down to the 1.5mg level. I think if I opened up the bottles I could possibly mix to .5mg with some accuracy. I'll keep this in mind, thanks.

Did you have much of a withdraw?

None at all - actually, once I went to zero, I pretty much just stopped feeling the desire to vape within a few days.

Went from 2mg to cold turkey, and my energy drinks intake went way up

But I forgot all about vaping in a week or two

Hey I still do it

Mostly cause I'm just addicted to inhaling things more than nicotine. At this point the only reason to use nicotine is to just feel a throaty hit when smaller tanks aren't quite cutting it. My body will still feel weird if I go a day or two without it, but I went on trips for a couple of weeks and it wasn't a huge deal. Usually I get a bit lethargic, but I think that's mostly because I think I feel like things are 'empty' feeling all of a sudden.

Anyways, I'm down to 3mg and will use 0mg on bigger tanks that want to produce clouds. I'm not sure at what point I'll stop vaping this but I run often and never vape right after so it's not concerning for me atm >_>

But yeah, an energy drink might pep you up once you quit just to trick your body enough that it's getting something, you just have to convince it that caffeine is the same as nicotine xD
