The demand for cheap superfluous consumer goods vastly overpowers feigning concern for low-wage workers.

There is an anti-China era coming to America again. It will even extend to Hollywood and movies. You'll start seeing Chinese villains, mid or late 2020s. And other things, our government will probably go harder on China in general. Not good for Chinese people in China or America, but it's a result of the Chinese government.

Archive this, whatever you gotta do. By the late 2020s, if not earlier, you'll see this. It's not that they've had a change of heart, but rather that even CHinese people don't like the pandering, so it's not making money. It's the government thta makes them pander. Chinese people don't give a shit, they just want good movies.

Unfortunately, it will not swing to just "Let's make good movies" but rather feed into the new anti Chinese American culture.

The 2020s will belong to Trump era conservatives (in America at least), and Hollywood will pander to them. It will basically be a sequel to 80s Reagan conservatism, and the Hollywood of that time.
