Peak oil is still looming but not yet KOing everybody who works for a living. America is ill prepared for fucking anything but puffing up billionaires so we are quite fucked, though.

Are you blind? It does matter. Democrats at least are not outright trying to stop people from voting, working with racists, taking all the power for themselves. They are at least at the bare minimum trying to do somewhat decent stuff.

Trump was president for 4 years, the US is still standing. Only reason it suffered at all was a pandemic that no one could have done anything to prevent, and we've already bounced back from it for the most part.

The Dems in office are literally pushing for segregation which is actively rolling back the Civil Rights Movement to pre-MLK status.

Trump's election has permanently ruined society and it can only get worse from here. I mean, pledging your loyalty to Trump is basically a requirement to earn a GOP nomination. That's fascist-type shit.

The crazies have gained massive amounts of power and only need a Congressional majority or a president to roll back civil rights at the drop of a hat. It is going to be a terrifying reality for minorities and the GOP will hide behind excuses like "religion" and "different opinions".

China has no voting rights compared the to the US, they have millions of people from a religious/ethnic minority locked away in concentration camps, and they discriminate against anyone and everyone that deviates from normal and they are about to be the top economic, military and political power on the planet.

There isn't some magic rule that says that anti-racist pro democracy nice powers will e the most powerful successful countries we support them because they are morally right.
