Especially people from here. I mean is it because someone has no life outside of the internet. That that have to develop a different personality just for the internet alone?

I'm curious if they actually take their weirdness to the outside world. Sure it could only be joking or whatever. But still....

The internet is so bad for the human brain. We'd be better off if it never existed.

I use to act different irl. But now stuff is pretty synced up. I wouldn't be embarrassed if people in my real life seen my posts and I don't think it would be very off brand. I'm just a little bit more of an asshole. But that's also because people in my real life are way more pleasant and likable.

I do think I bring politics into real life way too much now tho.

My mom is just trying to tell me about a Amish sandwich shop that has good deals and what not and my response was

They hide behind a layer of anonymity. Social media tries to get rid of that but the weirdness gets worse cuz then dudes try to catfish people. At the end of the day it is pretty stupid. I know on my main i used to say a lot of controversial stuff, i think in real life i would be a bit more hesitant cuz folks can get violent whereas on the internet there are not really any consequences. But yeah, people do seem to act weirder on the internet than in real life...i guess folks feel safer being themselves over the web.

It can be weird at times. There have been people on CE who (admittedly only by what they tell us) are decent people in real life but then garbage shit trolls on CE.
