Like demon slayer and jujutsu.

The anime has good production but the actual story is just completely mediocre or just barely above average at least.

After having read it a month ago or so, its definitely a far better shonen than weve seen in a long time. Its extremely well done.

Demon Slayer is good. Not overhyped at all. It's on par with the likes of Bleach, Naruto and One Piece. Are those overhyped as well IYO?

Jujutsu Kaisen, Fire Force, MHA and other recent manga/anime have been decent as well, there's no need to be obtuse and hate just 'cause.

As for Chainsaw Man, it's... Weird, in a good way. Reminds me of Blood-C.

And Shounen/Seinen with gripping stories are hard to come by. Maybe 2 or 3 have I ever considered to have amazing plot and decent character development, namely Code Geass, FMA:B and Vinland Saga.

But then again if you think JJK isnt good idk, maybe the genre isnt for you. JJK is top tier premium shonen.

Jjk is good. Just not that good.

The anime production was fantastic. The setting, and plot was meh, characters are good but not amazing

Demon slayer is also good but with a bit worse writing.

I don't say they are bad, maybe because people hype it so much, it kinda went under my expectations when i finally watched them.
I would give demon slayer anine 7/10 and JJK solid 8/10

10/10 for me would be something like mob psycho or golden kamuy ( the manga cos anime have production issues), berserk, etc.

It's good although to be honest the ending feels incredibly rushed. Like it spends all this time building up the world and the protagonist, gives the supporting cast their own goals and motivations, introduces characters that make the main cast look like trash, builds up this whole wealth of lore, and then just dives face first into the final encounter unceremoniously. It's like watching a high diver perform the perfect dive without you or they knowing that the pool is empty. It's spectacular and messy and impressive but at the same time not what you were hoping to see.

I got into CSM late. I can say it is very good but definitely not for everyone and I honestly feel like near the end things just got a little too crazy and too ridiculous without taking the time to actually explain it.

But part of that is because it'sapparently a trilogy with the second part coming sometime soon

that sounds like your average shonen story. probably more of executive meddling but shonen rarely lands good ending in proportion to the journey
