They just don't think it should cost money if it is a requirement to vote, or that it should be made harder to possess for certain groups of people through site closings and hour changes.

This is what I laugh at so hard about people crying about Vaccine Cards. 1. Those are free. 2. Those dont require you to go out of your way to get, getting the shot is nothing like going to the DMV, especially when half the DMVs in your area shut down.

also, and ID cost money. You cant take away someones right to vote over something that costs money.

1. because it costs money to have, which would make it a poll tax.
2. it requires about 5 forms of identification to get in the first place.
3. it takes hours of waiting to get.

An often unmentioned facet of the ID discussion is that it slows the voting process down even further, which means even longer wait times for voting precincts that already see people standing in line for hours waiting for their turn to vote, most of which happen to be placed in underserved communities with a high minority population. No one demanding voter ID laws that Ive seen has offered any solution to this problem.

It's not just the fact that an ID is required.

It's the fact that they exclude certain IDs but accept others.

Or close down service centers and DMVs in areas with large minority populations so they can't actually get an ID.

Well, that's not to mention the fact that it "fixes" a problem that doesn't exist.
