Afghanistan is and always was a tar baby, but damn I see the humanitarian crisis and I want us to fix it, but shit we've been trying to fix it and making it worse at the same time for 20 years. There's no good answer. In the end I think on balance leaving is better than staying, but it's bitter either way. --- In simplicity, utility.
