And the rest of us avoid ambulances unless we are on deaths door because the cost is insane even with insurance.

My mom refused a ambulance after having her car hit head on because of the cost. She did go to urgent care.

I get annoyed when Medicaid patients treat the ER like a walk in clinic. What a waste of resources.

One time I butt dialed 911, noticed it, and didnt hang up. When the agent picked up, I told him I accidentally dialed 911 and I didnt want to hang up so you know its not an emergency. He said thank you for doing that because most people just end the call before getting connected and then they have to waste resources to figure out who called and why.

One time in high school, back when touch screen phones were first becoming a thing and everyone and their mother was accidentally butt dialing the "emergency call" button, my female friend's phone once dialed 911 by accident. I had the phone for some reason and I was talking to the agent explaining the issue, and the agent said "we have record this phone belongs to a female, I want to speak to the phone's owner" (because, dark angle, there's concern she tried to dial 911 but I, the male, could have possibly taken the phone or something and was just handwaving the call away as an accident)

Another time, I actually did dial 911 intentionally after I went on one date with this chick but I wasn't feeling it, so she texted me saying she was going to end her life. 911 sent dispatchers to her address, which I coincidentally had because I picked her up and dropped her off.

When I was younger (whenever the Sega Channel was a thing) me and my brothers would hang out with this neighborhood good but he lived slightly too far to just ride our bikes over to hang out. So we would call before we went over.

His number was something like 291-1911. Apparently our phone didn't always read the 2 button being pressed so over the course of a couple weeks we probably made 5 or 6 calls to 911 by accident. No one ever bitched at us or anything but we did get a new phone.

If she wanted to go, she wanted to go. I can't say no >_> She probably won't pay the bill anyway cuz she's on medicaid. That's the city's problem to deal with.
