Like, what the fuck is up with that. In like our pop culture and what not.

You obviously should not kill people or walk around with the desire to kill others

kill != murder

but I do find it strange how people can sometimes be more curious than disturbed by a murder. like murder mysteries and whatnot often focusing on the intrigue of solving the mystery without really caring all that much about the victim. maybe that's just limited to fiction though since I guess IRL most people do care about the victim (in the western world at least, maybe).

You see lots of murder in crime TV and movies... sometimes its for drama, sometimes its for action.

What's disturbing is when it's done for routine; Like a guy just stabs someone and gently puts them in a dumpster and doesn't even change his facial expression and there are witnesses around that are just like "hey Jim"

It really is sometimes + the level of disregard for the victim as stated... sometimes.

I recall some criminal justice show that was airing on regular TV (this was a fictional setting) and they kind of just plastered this crime scene photo of dead gang members slumped over on a car / on the ground with visible fatal gunshot wounds (like pieces of their head missing or bullet holes) and I wasn't really comfortable with the fact they kind of just splash that on TV from a NSFtame perspective

For movies/tv, I have to kind of get into the story more than something just dangling murder in front of me like some kind of cat toy like "oooh murder" since that's kind of a creepy angle

Video games? Well, I mean, come on. A lot of them are already combat/murder simulators.
