It's been years since I've listened to anything close to this. I also enjoyed some prog stuff. I never really enjoyed thrash or grindcore much.

If you could only recommend one album to get back into any metal what would it be?

Damn, that's a long album at over an hour. I guess I'll give it a shot and see if I decide to dip out mid way, thanks for the recommendation.

I'll add this to my library and listen to it after I finish TGE's recommendation, thanks.

Vrhtelij wasn't really my thing, listened through to about the half way point. I could background the album but it didn't really give me chills or anything if that makes sense. Lyrics are also a big part of music for me so not being able to understand anything kind of put me off a little. I might give it another go later.

Ne Obliviscaris's Citadel however may have reignited my interest in metal, open to more suggestions. Painters of the Tempest Pt. 2 was spine chill central, really blew me away multiple times.
