I've looked at real estate prices in alaska within the last couple months just out of curiosity. It's more expensive than I thought and there were some beautiful HUGE homes.

It's a serious issue we need to fucking address ASAP. We need to get every externality integrated into the business model so it's no longer profitable to pollute in any way.

Companies are evil soulless greed machines, if you let them get away with phoning in safety and environmental standards they fucking will.

We need a carbon tax and basically tons of other things that make it so that the business that is best for the environment (and for the common people) is the most profitable. And not the inverse.

The climate continues to get fucked up and no politicians are doing shit, and basically the entire media doesn't cover it:

And although Republicans and republican media are worse on this, they aren't that much worse because MSM and Dems mostly just virtue signal while not doing anything.

If they had 70 people in the senate maybe they would. But enough of them are corporate owned that with 50 or even 60 idk if it's going to happen. The measures that need to be taken are big and they like to pussyfoot around and remove racist rocks more than they want to save the world. And even the well intentioned ones are hamstrung by a political/industrial complex which things being divided is more important than being productive.

I'm quite frustrated by it, which is all the more reason we need political reform so corporate politicians are no longer pulling the strings. We need people who will actually say "fuck you" to anybody trying to stop us from saving the planet.

which is unfortunate, since the soils there (or the lack thereof) make large-scale agriculture non-feasible, even if the climate were to become temperate enough.
