Probably not. Nose blindness will happen. When I got out of basic, we went to tech school and wondered why everyone though we stank. But two weeks later when the next set of new people arrived, we understood. We couldnt smell it on us since thats just what we smelled like. But they sure could. And we could with the new arrivals. I had forgotten all about that but you're right when we arrived at AIT a couple people said we smelled sour and it wasn't until after we had washed our BDUs I guess that it went away. We didn't even notice but when the next cycle came through we could smell them. It was mostly their clothes and stuff, because most people shower. Some of the girls had greasy hair, though...
