Basically it's a date, the other person's character is questionable, there's no "chase", no real romance, just a physical attraction

You meet up with someone to hook up with, it's a work night, there's no real romance or chemistry beyond a desire to jump each other. Then you get about an hour in or w.e. and your brain just gets flooded with "I'm not even having fun" "why am I doing this", "this isn't enioyable", "i just want someone to hug me".

It's such an unpleasant feeling to get smacked with.

This really depends on your mental state, and how much you actually like the girl. If you just got dumped, and the girl is average at best, then you're probably not going to feel great. If the girl is hot and your life has been going pretty good recently, then you'd feel good about it.
