Guys who were shouting at him and flashing brights at him went and blocked his view so he couldn't see the oncoming cars.

He asked them nicely to move and they refused so he yelled at them.

That's like what any human being would do, it's totally understandable. They were putting people in danger.

That one guy who said something like "The cars will stop for you!" really irritated me. The egotism is off the charts.

I don't think anybody of note thought he did anything wrong. The paparazzi were obviously in the wrong to be blocking his view of traffic and getting in the way of his car. He was patient for a bit, but they were acting like children, so he rightfully chewed them out.

At least a few of the voices were trying to be reasonable. "You can't block him in guys," and "Let him go, he can't see"

At least the entire profession isn't cartoonishly evil, even if I think the 'good ones' are still vultures trying to profit off of nosing into people's personal lives.

Yeah, being so famous that you're constantly harassed and encumbered by shmucks in your day-to-day life is not an envious situation at all.

People like to put celebrities on a pedestal as if they're perfect, and then try to "cancel" them over every little thing, but they're still just people at the end of the day. And stuff like that is def enough to make someone who's already been having a bad day go off the rails.

Though, I don't remember ever seeing anyone say Tobey was in the wrong in that situation.

I saw Tobey Maguire at a grocery store in Atlanta the other day. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didnt want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.
He said, Oh, like youre doing now?
I was taken aback, and all I could say was Huh? but he kept cutting me off and going huh? huh? huh? and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like Sir, you need to pay for those first. At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually to prevent any electrical infetterence, and then turned around and winked at me. I dont even think thats a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

This, Tobey had a "prima dona" reputation when he was at the height his career (Spiderman) so of course people made assumptions that it was just him being his usual self.

I think we all know, thanks to the internet, just how scummy as fuck paparazzi's can be. Some even break into a celebrities house or even try to tap their phone lines just to get any form of a "scoop".
