Stolen money from you? Stolen possesions? Badmouthing you to your employer to the point you had to quit the job? Split you and your significant other up? Slandered you so badly that most of your friends completely abandoned you? Called you worthless? Constantly bullied you? Kept you a prisoner in your house for months? Had you arrested for no good reason? Assaulted you?

Nothing like that. But my mother is a huge asshole to my grandma, her very own mother, and it pisses us all off to no end. No one says anything because it'll set her off like a friggin' psycho

Nothing. My parents were never spiteful towards me and I wouldn't remember anything else as "being done to me". It would just be something that happened that was unfortunate but well intentioned.

"Accidentally" left me home all alone one Christmas while they went to Europe with the rest of the family. Was honestly kind of awesome until two guys tried to break in and bite my fingers off.

Sorry. I never know what to say in these situations, except "Sorry". I know there's nothing I can say that will really provide any type of relief. It's kind of just something that hopefully heals with time.

My dad has never done anything to me because he never bothered to be in my life.

And because she was a single, working mom raising four kids that she had when she was way too young, my mom was always stressed out and took her frustrations out on us a lot.
She's chilled out the older we got though.

Worst thing my parents did was not loving each other tbh.

They were workaholics. I know they loved each other to some capacity. My dad basically wouldnt leave my mom. Mom was sick of him and she wanted a divorce. They were separated in my teens... 15yrs later, she told me & my brothers that she tried to divorce dad but her lawyer died and she was too busy working to re-do the divorce process with someone else.

-Dad tried killing me. Was gonna shoot me, ended up getting the gun away. Instead he tried beating me to death.

-When I was 9 I needed emergency surgery. He refused to sign the consent form, saying to just let me die.

- He'd beat me over the dumbest/simplest stuff. Like if his baseball game got cancelled for rain, he'd blame me.

-He thinks what I have belongs to him, and what he has is off limits because it's his. That he can do whatever he wants with what we own, but we're not allowed near his stuff at all.

-Stolen tons of money over the years. Stolen a bunch of my stuff to give his siblings and nieces/nephews. Took almost everything I owned and burned it all about 3 years ago.

- I was essentially his prisoner. Wasn't allowed out of the house, or out of my room without his permission. I only ever had his permission when he'd benefit from someone knowing he had a second child. No friends were allowed over, I wasn't allowed to attend any after school activities.

-As adults, every time we ever planned to do anything it was sabotaged and we were forced to give it up, or face consequences. That was both parents.

- I had a crush on a coworker at work. Word got out and she distanced herself from me. That was bad enough, until later my mom recieved screenshots from the coworker. They were dick pics my dad had sent her and was asking if she'd fuck him.

So... Idk if he was only doing that to try and one up me by getting with the one I liked, or if he was just being a total creep. Either way really bothers me a lot.

Oh, and absolute favoritism towards my brother.

There was 2 years in a row when they "accidentally" got him all the Christmas gifts and I got nothing. Also, when it's our birthday we'd get to choose a place to go out and eat. For his birthday, it was his choice. For my birthday... It was his choice as well. lol
Just a million petty/spiteful things that taught me that I simply don't matter, and to give up on what I want to ensure others get what they want.

Pretty much the same for me, but it was during my teenage years. He was an angry drunk, and after my mom died he singled me out specifically out of all us children, which was both a blessing (because my sisters didn't take the brunt of the abuse) and obviously a curse.
I remember one instance where he was screaming and screaming at me and cornered me in the dining room. When I tried to push past him to get to my room, he grabbed a fistful of my hair and slammed my head on the corner of the table. He picked me back up like a ragdoll and really started beating the shit out of me. I really thought he was going to kill me that night. Even typing out the watered down story is anxiety inducing. I get nightmares about it every once in a while.

They bought a whole bunch of stuff from a rent-to-own place(a computer, stereo, and couch) and filled out everything with my info. When they couldn't pay the repo guys came to my house looking for the stuff or a payment. I had to go down to the place to clear it all up.

My Mother could make it to 36 due to a single-car accident.
And my Father died of a sudden heart attack without having a Will.

They were great people, but kinda could have done better in those regards.

When my mom divorced my dad she devolved and basically tried to manipulate and mold me into some simpy replacement. Became dependent on me for funds and whatever emotional needs and guilt tripped me whenever I made a choice that wasn't what she wanted and tried to sabotage some the stuff I needed to become independent from her, like learning to drive.

Dad-Left me at the babysitters overnight when I was 3 so he could go out and shitfaced with my uncle over the birth of my brother. I was scared to death having to stay overnight with a sitter who wasn't evil or anything but still not warm and fuzzy.

Mom-When my dad found someone after they split she became bitter that she wasn't having any luck and after my dad's gf encouraged him to get a drink instead of spend time with my brother (which was admittedly a shitty thing to do) she became extremely bitter for the next few years. The worst of it was when I was in middle school and whenever I got home from visiting my dad she'd ask if the gf was there and yell at me and my brother if we had fun with my dad's gf or her kid. Eventually she got better and today she's even facebook friends with said kid but it was a rough couple of years.
