I've settled on PureOS over the past handful of years, based on Debian with Gnome GUI.
Think I'm overlooking something? Feel free to drop that, too. I'm a little curious about elementary OS. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

I had Ubuntu on my old laptop but havent put it on my new one. Might do it because it can run stats software i think Yeah I ended up putting Ubuntu on an older family member's laptop because Windows was basically unresponsive on it. Linux sometimes gets relegated to old hardware because it's so damn efficient. I don't mind Ubuntu but I've kind of got bored with it in the past. Out of the box, I wasn't a big fan of the look either. For hardware support though it is great. HokagoTeaTime posted...
