How come some people can't understand that just cause the world was mostly fun to them as a teenager or 20-something, it doesn't mean it was the correct world and there's no reason for them to learn more perspective or have any change in character. It's almost like they're scared of losing that time that they can't get back anyway. So they're overcompensating to save everything from that era

I do agree that some are just giant babies tho. Really matters how extreme we're talking. Im glad people don't use slurs anymore in comedy, for example

There's no such thing as a "correct world", and there's nothing more "correct" about it now than there was then.

That doesn't change anything I said. It's just working into my point. That nostalgia is the only thing clinging them to a certain era. Most people look at the era they were kids-teens as the best, simply because that's the era that set their values.

This is usually a huge part of it too. You don't even gotta seek it out, it just gets an emotional response out the person and makes it harder for them to look past it. Rather than reading something they're not trying to prove to themselves. It won't stick like something you're using to reenforce your bias.

That would explain why every generation thinks the one before them was bad, the one they are a part of is the best, and the one that comes after theirs is destroying the "culture."

Based on my younger gen z sister's stories. Gen z can be just as ruthless as previous gens when it comes to bullying. A lot of it is just done online now but physical battles still exist.
Also from the news we can see that gen z is capable of mass shootings and stuff just like previous gens.

So while there may or may not be more snowflakes these days. Rest assured there are still a lot of psychopathic people part of gen z that aren't afraid to offend and murder.
