I'm not sure I agree. It was super nasty and full of people advocating such grotesque attitudes and violence.

The mods going "Well it's a community board so who cares what they advocate and promote for years!?" was a really shitty take TBH.

And yet people would be suspended on other community boards for talking about smoking weed or pirating video games.

Yeah I see your point it's good to have peace now, but there is just something missing on GameFAQs nowadays. Just the thrill of riots happening on this site or just nostalgia

Why did the board get shut down or deleted? Were they breaking the TOS?

Or was it a situation where they didnt like what people were doing outside of gamefaqs and decided nuke the board.

But were they breaking the TOS? I know some Republicans were upset they lost. But it seemed like in that time period they all got lumped with capital rioters. I always thought of politics as sports with winners and losers. Some just go on with their lives after their team lost.

I think the MAGA board was celebrating the riots that's why they got mass reported

Jan 6th changed perception of the mods.

Whether they were breaking the TOU was debatable because they were. But the mods were saying "It's okay for the right wing users to break the TOU so long as they do it on community boards since it's up to the mods of those boards to uphold it."

Which makes no sense.

But as Trump failed and lost more and more. The board went off the deep end and people got concerned. Then when they defended Jan 6th. The board got taken down.

Without Jan 6th the board would never be taken down

But they absolutely were breaking the rules and being horrible and should have been taken down long before then

Oh ok. I would have thought they would just mod the posts/users breaking the rules. Not just lump the people breaking rules with regular folk like yourself that just lurk/post there and end the board.
