J&J is demonstrably less effective. i'm pretty sure most medical professionals will recommend Moderna or Pfizer. but, really, you should talk to your doctor about this.

they are, but folks who had an initial shot from J&J were strongly encouraged to get the first round of boosters to compensate for the lower effectiveness of J&J. again, the best person to talk to about this is your primary care physician.

I don't even remember having a choice. I made an appointment at Walgreens and they gave me the Pfizer vaccine.

Early on, vaccine supply was limited. So many stores, even within the same organization, would have one of the 3 vaccines. These days, many stores have all 3 options.

that's how it was for me, too. when i went to schedule my booster shot, the Kroger website form asked me which booster i wanted and filtered the results based on that.

i got the j&j first time around and my side effects were much worse than the people i knew who got the 2-dose ones. also is safer for much longer
