Not some body dysmorphia thing or a suicidal topic. I'm just tired of living in pain. Always something going on.

But then you couldnt swim in the ocean or walk on the beach or run through a nice jogging trail

I worked with a guy who joined us because we were one of the few companies with a good enough healthplan for US employees where he could get coverage for having his leg amputated. he had an Ilizarov brace on it for years after an incident with an IED, chronic pain, but since it wasn't technically necessary to have it amputated, the stuff he had as a veteran wouldn't cover it.
