nah. worked in a grocery store for 8 years tho. pretty chill job. would have been awesome if the pay was better.

My first job was at Wendy's around 1990

First job was at Panda Express in my highschool year and the most difficult part was when people had very specific requests like getting the Kung Pao chicken without the nuts or the steak without the mushroom. Otherwise Panda Express was definately one of the easiest jobs I ever had.

One girl i know quit Burger King because she was berated by the manager for not serving food that fell on the floor to a customer

First job was Burger King. It kind of sucked but its not the worst thing in the world. My next job was sit down restaurant and I wouldnt say the work was any better, I was still grilling food in a kitchen. However, a few of my friends from school also worked there so it made things much more enjoyable.plus flirting with the waitresses was a nice bonus I hadnt considered before I started there.

I think the other people you work with really make or break just how enjoyable/hateful those jobs are.

If you dont ever have to interact with people then I guess it isnt too shabby, but any position where you gotta talk with people is just miserable. Its an extremely easy job, but annoying as all hell.

I own a fast food restaurant. Honestly, ever since the pandemic started, it's fucking sucked balls. My government keeps throwing the entire restaurant industry under the bus and keeps imposing bullshit restrictions on us even though it's the damn schools where the virus spreads the most.

Nowadays, we can't let people sit inside to eat after 5 PM any more, and we're only allowed to do delivery and takeout after 5 PM. So naturally, everyone wants their food delivered, and NOBODY seems to understand that you're not going to get your fucking food in 15 minutes if there's 60 people putting in orders at the same time.

It was alright, but I was lucky enough to be in charge whenever shit jumped off so I handled it at my discretion, that discretion being "Fuck off, call corporate" (Corporate doesn't give a rats ass about a single phone call every 6 months, it needs to be a consistent trend for them to ever even look your direction). My boss was also an extremely reasonable dude who understood that customers who caused problems were 99% of the time at fault to begin with. Shit didn't jump off often though because the overwhelming majority of customers were chill and just wanted to come in, get their food and dip.

I can count on one hand the amount of customers that were ever massive dickheads. Sure some people were rude/came in with an attitude but I didn't care about that as long as they'd convey what they wanted and don't start shit for no reason. That was a long time ago though, I doubt that customers are tolerable in any capacity whatsoever during the pandemic. >_>

Later on I got into Bartending, and that was amazing through and through. Most of the issues that arose while bartending were coworker vs coworker or patron vs patron lol.

Yeah I worked at McDonald's when I was 14-17, early 2000s.

People would throw shit, knock over register monitors etc if their order was wrong, or throw bizarre fits with the pricing. It wasn't regular in my experience but happened often enough.

If we had smartphones back then some those experiences would have gone viral I'm sure.

I worked retail pharmacy and there were some super shitty customers. I couldn't imagine what it would be like to put up with them and a hot kitchen.

I worked at Hardee's it was alright but sometimes people are really shitty
