Some older women try to use the same parameters, but the only things that make a woman "high value" for dating is youth, beauty and good attitude.

A 24 year old woman who is fit, feminine and friendly is "high value". A 37 year old, slightly heavy, argumentative, jaded woman making $230K is not high value.

High value and low value just mean they're generally desirable above the norm. This would be good looking for both sexes, not a hard requirement for men though. Men for sure money, fitness, social status, style, confidence and height are huge factors.

Boob size isn't at the forefront, but you're very close in parsing a woman's appearance.

Think about the many studies showing how women strongely prefer taller men who earn more and have certain personlities, and men of all ages prefer women around 23-25. Now just add a term to easily and quickly point to that preference.

Most guys of a certain mindset, as well as most women cannot acknowledge the differences between sexes or their different endgame goals anymore. They think men and women are interchangeable.

I think this works in both sides to be honest. What most men and women see as attractive in partners seldom matches what makes a happy relationship. The only really happy couples are ugly couples imo.

I think most guys recognize this, but yeah it needs to be said. These women have an online community to talk about this shit for the same reason pick up artists and incels have one: most people in real life don't agree with them and don't want to hear their bullshit.

The way I see it, the concept of LVM/HVM is just a matter of sexual selection brought to the forefront by online dating. Men and women adopt very different strategies to try to get a relationship. Men will swipe right on anything to try to get their foot in the door, while women are faced with the problem that they have hundreds of options. All of whom are trying to put their best foot forward and not reveal anything negative about themselves. As a time investment, it's simply inefficient for a woman to try to get to know hundreds of dudes to find what she's looking for. So they are incentivized to be more discerning and to set qualifications to 'weed out' the ones they feel they won't be happy with. Where incels and the women of FDS find common ground is that their strategies failed for whatever reason. They didn't find what they were looking for, and they react by blaming the other sex.

That's true as well. Its not mutually exclusive. There are crazies everywhere. Why people let them affect them so much when chances are they will never have any sort of meaningful interaction with a incel / femcel is silly. We give too much power to small groups.

Women get sex easy but it's hard for them to get in a relationship with males that they deem HVM. HVM kinda depends on the woman, but wealth, height, social skills, fitness, masculinity, maturity,...etc are what they generally looking for....which really upsets them because Women generally care about LTR way more than men do and the majority of men don't hit the checkboxes.

I heard that the younger generation of young straight adults(male) is less comfortable making the first step than before as they "are worried about getting consent wrong" tbh I read somewhere that "unsolicited compliments " were "enabling rape culture". I mean I am gay and I like receiving compliments from hot men. I don't really understand what is a "solicited" compliment.

Is the gen x taken from 15 years in the past where we can compare it directly to the millennials of today? Because if not, it's just saying that young people are less likely to be married than old people, which has always been the case.

Good point. US census shows the rates of never married men and women are rising while the rates married men and women decreasing. And a snapshot of 2015's unmarried adult population being at 107 million while 2021's count is 126 million. Though 2021 and 2015's criteria for unmarried includes divorcees, widow(er)s, while 2021 also includes unacknowledged people, whatever this means. (I suppose I should go dig up the general population as well...)

That is a factor but I don't believe it's that debilitating, or rather, it's a consequence of people being more socially stunted than decades ago thanks to virtual social interactions replacing regular physical interactions. So a lot of younger folks aren't aware of the social cues to understand boundaries and when you're given access past specific boundaries compared to some other random joe. And given the culture where an unsolicited compliment could backfire on you, it's no wonder a lot of guys wouldn't want to take the risk.

But I don't believe this is one of the driving factors of the falling marriage rate issue.
