I feel like early ps2 days were the top of it when you could get a guide for anything for something like ffx. Now it's all about video guides. Text is good for searching, listing, and sorting, but has issues with various visual elements. Video can nail the visual elements no problem, but it requires real dedication to be able break down each element that a person might need help with to make it searchable. Wiki is, unfortunately, a crapshoot, because it relies on an entire community instead of one person, and ultimately, on that community's commitment to sharing info. Most Souls guides on fextralife are incredibly thorough, for example.
