what is the big, huge, amazingly alarming problem with panthera counter voting me here

I'll start out by saying I think Ulti is town. I'm not sure if I agree with his theory that Crescent and Isquen are scum together, but it actually holds a little bit of water because Isquen's reaction to Crescent was a bit over the top and he chose to vote her over Panthera or anyone else that he had in his pile. Something is off about that interaction and I feel like Ulti giving that food for thought comes in good faith. I do think Crescent is still fairly towny but I'm paying mind to all the attention on her, as I feel the bulk of it comes in good faith and for now I won't defend her too much.

Then I'm going to say at least one mafia in SBell, Sultan, and MZero. Probably exactly one. SBell pushes on three people but ultimately decides to plant his vote on Sultan. MZero calls his reads calculated and votes him for that. The way I see it is that either A. SBell is scum that MZero has correctly called out. B. Sultan is scum that SBell has correctly called out. Or C. MZero is capitalizing on two townies that are at each other's throats. I did say SBell had a towny post, but at this point I think it's just because he made me laugh. Sultan had a weird start and I'm still not in love with everything he's posting, but I think MZero might be right. RN I'd say the plausibility of the scenarios above from most to least are A>B>C.

Still not entirely amused by Panth, but at this point I feel that vote is in vain as others seem to mostly be dismissing my thoughts in that area and/or have a townlean on that spot.

Um yeah let's try this.

a) town who loves panthera too much
b) scum who is defending panthera the only decently plausible way he can

meh, I'll just say it. You don't tend to want to claim your only claimed scanning power who just so happens to correct the record on your vanilla status in a game where 15 of the 17 players have claimed in some way or are dead.

I feel like Panthera just decided to go for it here as scum lol

y ability is infinite use which is a bit odd but I guess it's to guard against a crazy scum team that holds onto their poison for later in the game. Oh, and I targeted Crescent night 1 because I figured with how accepted as town she was that scum might pay her a visit and I didn't fully trust Chris and if he was poisoned I could potentially cure it night 2 anyway and get a confirm out of it (I was guessing on targets being notified, but that's how it worked when I was town poisoner in Godzilla mafia) assuming it works that way, which is a nice back up.

Well isnt that an unfortunate coincidence if that turns out to be true. I suppose it is true a scum Chris could decide, after one of his members of scum is shot dead, to claim power just for the fun when you were probably already on your way. Of course the truth is that I was just being transparent with my night action.

You read what I wrote with Isquen and think to yourself he defended Isquen day 1, let me attack this but if you go back and read how I defended him precisely you would understand the tact I discussed with Crescent was one of prudence not me claiming to actually have any genuine concrete read.

For example, the Scare lynch was indeed town but you didnt offer any defense of him at the time.

For one, there is nothing wrong with having people you were or are somewhat suspicious of voting with you to try to lynch people. You keep acting as if this is some weird thing but getting reactions out of people is pretty common Id say.

As for why I voted for you Marth moe or less asked, so I decided to. Sometimes I am just nice like that. Not everything has to be a huge conspiracy, sometimes I am very earnest.

Like yeah, if he was so sure I was scum dude just calls me a liar so he might have some chance of doing good this game lol

If Sbell ends up being scum I'm gonna say at least one of [chang, Chris, Panth] is bussing right now.

That being said, my vote is on Sbell in spirit just cause it seems like MZero might have something incriminating on him and I might actually vote him soon if he doesn't claim.

Sbell looks like he's in hot water rn.

Bat never impressed me yesterday at all, but I vibed with people saying to let him live due to his early exits in previous games so I could pressure there.

Chris.... I don't have great feelings about either. But probably not territory for today given he has some kind of powerup that seems to be helping the village.

I would like Isquen to do a bit more solving today rather than just OMGUSing Crescent and banking on a PR soft to get him through the day.

Still am not comfortable with Panthera.

Chang might be fun to lynch.

Everyone else I'm probably not touching today unless something drastically changes. Sultan was an initial scumread and he's still done some off-putting things, but I think he's Just Town.

Yeah this a big red flag here since this is what I did. I explicitly stated that my assumption is Chris realized (or at least strongly suspected) I wasn't honest about the vanilla claim (it wasn't super subtle really) and decided to just throw it out to see, knowing he can back off it without issue by saying it was just to try to test/trap me. I feel like Chris knows people are more inclined to read his posts than my walls and is misrepresenting me here to undermine what I said.

Oh, Crescent - I targeted you night 1 because you were my strongest town read, and I don't like to count on scum just deciding to keep you as a distraction when there's not a ton of upside to it. Confirmed town who hasn't confirmed yet feels like an ideal poison target to me so I went with you.

Sheep I'm town lol and honestly I townread you for pushing my D1 because I also thought it sucked.

But my excuse is just reacquainting myself with this board and being nervous as hell that I'd do bad.

I'm actually very happy cause I caught Sbell d1 and hopefully I caught Panthera as well.

When MZero vigged Sbell my whole attitude towards the game and my conviction towards my reads skyrocketed.

For real though, I don't know enough about you to say your play is different from what I'd expect, but I'm not big on the votes and the SBell stuff along with my most recent post just feels a little all over the place. Not so sure about the conviction of your reads

I meant simply don't claim your protection role at all. I would expect town Panthera to offer some resistance if he genuinely thought I was so scummy to lynch a scanner lol

i will say scum team has to be very confident that there's not a real poison doctor for scum panthera to make that claim. it seems like a whole lot of wasted effort to type an entire novel's worth of text just to have everything instantly invalidated by a poison doctor counterclaim.

4/17 and they know their power layout. Pretty easy for them to know if they can expect their poison to be assured or not
