That's not really "stolen." It's pretty common for the victims of sociopaths/narcissists to feel this way. Not saying Johnny is either of those things, just if she's trying to claim he is, this is something I'd expect her to say.

No they actually can't. They'd have to introduce the script of the movie as evidence. Then they'd have to get a plagiarism expert witness to testify.

Shit like this is exactly why judges say "no outside research"

If we're going to start determining verdicts based off YouTube videos of idiots who already made up their mind as to who's guilty then the entire court system is broke.

Movies immitated life and now life immitates movies. There's probaby cross over everywhere when a lot of people talk. Especially when combined with cryptomnesia. You think "Damn, that shit I just came up with to for this situation is dope. I'mma use that". Not consciously knowing it was a memory and not an original idea.

Im not on either side. Not like the trial should come down to something this dumb either way. And Im not paying attention.

Never mind character assassination. Can't they use it to prove the witness has been rehearsed, shed doubt on her testimony? It doesn't have to be from social media. If it's a fact the attorney can still introduce it as evidence as long as the other side agrees.

Why would the other side agree? And testimony is expected to be rehearsed. They even rehearse the questions they will ask in cross examination. There are no surprises in court.

They won't agree, but if the judge allows it, then it's admissible. It would speak to her lack of credibility.

I don't think that's how that works. You can't just add new evidence mid trial based on witness testimony. I've never heard of such a thing. When the tried it in the Chauvin trial and the carbon monoxide blood test the Judge almost declared a mistrial just for talking about it.

I'm not a lawyer, of course, but if there is new evidence, I'm pretty sure the attorney can move to admit it. The other attorney will naturally object, then the judge makes a ruling on its status.

Heard is the defendant, not the plaintiff. She's trying to discredit the plaintiff. Which is technically a viable strategy.

Although in her case she's doing a pretty bad job of it.

I have to say, it's super weird how invested people are in this.
