Current Events > Charcoal (dark grey) or regular grey vest to go with black dress pants?

Going to a wedding in early July. I figure to go black dress pants this time. I wanna mix and match and wanna wear a vest to hide my gut a little lol. So was wondering if a darker grey or regular grey vest would pair better with black pants?

Dress shirt will be white and thinking of a dark red tie to complete.
