Nobody is going to argue that it's wrong. However I admit I did my share of skimming when I worked the DQ drive-thru. It's easy when you have the prices commited to memory.

That was over 20 years ago and I'm not proud of it.

I stole gas from my employer when I worked at a gas station. I was 17 or something and the paycheck they sent me bounced and I needed gas to get home after my shift so I took 10 bucks worth.

I absolutely feel bad about it but i had an agreement with them that I do X and they pay me Y (ya know, a job) and they didn't hold up their end and I needed to get home.

No. Employer/Employee relationships should be reciprocal ideally. So unless you are stolen from, you shouldn't steal from them, with the inverse also being true.

If they make you do extra work for no extra pay, fail to provide what they promise or are comically evil absolutely.

My work is chronically understaffed and added more responsibility and cut positions. I feel zero guilt in swiping some food or lazing off sometimes.
