The streaming services I'm talking about here are basically cable TV with all the advertising, just over the internet so let's count those.

I've never paid for cable. I've had Netflix, but it doesn't sound like you're talking about Netflix.

Nah, I am talking mainly about things like DirecTV Now (though I think that is defunct and rebranded).

i used to pay for Sling TV. 30 bucks a month.

but then i realized i never really watched anything so i quit.

I have cable. My step mom and her sister mainly watch it.

I still have cable but I'm probably going to get rid of it in the winter once I clear out the dvr. It's getting too expensive.

I hate streaming and think it's anti-consumer but I can't afford cable much longer.

I used to like a decade ago when they offered the lowest tier cable (basically just the broadcast channels) for $10/month with a $15/month discount on the internet.
