Article is about Australia, but this problem is worldwide. We can't find the stuff.

This is also more proof that drug advertising is ethically wrong. There are multiple ads in the US where they'll say "you might even lose some weight" despite that having nothing to do with the function of the drug. People need to shut up and let their doctors tell them what to do. We've created a market for unethical quacks that will cater to a patient's wants rather than their needs.

To be clear, there are some diabetic medications that cause weight loss. Metformin and Victoza in particular.

Bodybuilders have been using it in recent years too. It's why so many have died in the past like 3 years.

They're using the right medication, Ozempic is not indicated for weight loss while it does help with it, the one for weight loss is dosed higher called Wegovy.

I know about Victoza/Saxenda.

Victoza/Saxenda are GLP-1 indicated for weight loss, but they're not the most effective compared to other ones in their class that are not indicated for weight-loss like Ozempic. Ozempic is branded as Wegovy for weight loss which is a higher dose. People are just spouting shit acting like they know when they don't. Wegovy is not indicated for diabetes but it is literally the same drug at a higher dose, so it will help with reducing A1C and for diabetes as well.

My cause? I just don't trust doctors. All they do is prescribe drugs and give bad advice, in my, and in plenty of anecdotal experiences.

That's been on back order for about 4 months now in every pharmacy I've floated in.

It's truly a shame society has collapsed to the point where everything is seen as a difference in belief. No one has shame or humility anymore. They don't know when to defer to the experts.

The great irony of this is that the people who know the least amount of legit medical science are often the most confident that they know more than the experts.

Drugs are used off-label all the time. Blame the doctors that are handing out the prescriptions for it.
