I have a PS4 controller and it works great with the DS4Windows program. I can customize the light bar, set macros, use bluetooth, and use the touchpad as a mouse cursor. So it's excellent for sitting on the couch and navigating the desktop between sessions.

But one of the buttons is starting to feel stiff and I want to have a replacement lined up for when it goes bad >_> Is the PS5 controller good and does it have all these features that the PS4 controller does with DS4Windows? Or should I just buy another PS4 controller before they're out of sale and obsolete?

Mine works fine. Same options and everything from what I can tell.

Does PS5 have a touchpad you can navigate the mouse with? How many of DS4Windows features work? Cuz I remember last time I checked, the blue tooth wasn't working for PS5's controller on PC with that program

I'm not sure regarding DS4Windows since I don't use any 3rd party software (got burned with MotionInJoy, and decided never again), but the PS5 controller can do everything else that the PS4 controller can outside of that. It also feels better. I never complained about the PS4 controller being too small or not as comfortable as an Xbox controller (I've been a playstation gamer since PS1), but after using the DualSense, it makes the Dualshock 4 controller feel so weird and cheap.

Damn, that's a bold statement, cuz I love the DS4 >_>

But DS4windows is a fantastic program. It's really well made and cuts out a lot of bullshit from the controller, like that annoying light bar. Plus you can customize a lot of aspects to it. Don't let other programs burn you over it.

Steam allows me to customize the light bar too. I dimmed it a lot, but I left it on and a certain color. I like it when it's dim. >_> Also, emulators work with playstation controllers, so I never felt the need to download another program once Steam came out with their drivers lol.
