I fucking lost it when the big dude stabbed the hostage guy for absolutely no reason, left the knife embedded in his side and just let him run off while saying "He took my knife!"

The game is going for that sort of 80s straight-to-VHS horror flick vibe, so some hokey dialogue is very much on-brand and deliberate.

If anything, a lot of the writing/delivery was better than I expected - especially Dylan.

That said, though, even allowing that it's going for the B-movie vibe, Lin Shaye really butchered the moment when she learns Kaylee is dead.

Its a horror B-movie inspired series with purposefully unlikable characters. Fallout 4 is supposed to be a mostly serious RPG with light comedic moments.
