To be fair to Connery, it was the role of the Architect from the sequels he turned down, not any role from the original movie.

But him turning down the role of Gandalf, now that was a mistake on his part.

It's been awhile but if it was indeed the architect he was to play didn't that character have very little screen time? Seems like it wouldn't pay what he was accustomed to making.

i definitely liked the league as a concept even if the execution was subpar.

LOTR also came with a schedule of shooting 3 movies at the same time. I think that was a first at the time. Also I'm glad Ian McKellen got the role because he honestly seems to love it.

To be fair Will Smith turned down Django because he thought he should be the one to kill Calvin Candy, not The Doctor. He considered him to be the main villain missing the point that Django killed the main villain later on. So Will Smith definitely did not get Django

Yeah. Im giving him the benefit of tge doubt yhat it's just so polar to what he's use to that he doesn't see the appeal a different group would. I personally don't see the appeal myself as much as most, since Im way more into the everyman type content.
