Me: Bitch. I'm not contracted for that. This is science stuff that you hire employees for, not rely on your one-day-a-week safety consultant to hack together. Also I work for you *on Tuesday*. Quick questions during the week when I'm not there are fine, but don't give me a project to complete in three working days to have it ready next time I'm onsite because I will flipping bill you extra for it.

Of course what I actually did was defer to our company's subject matter expert with the intent of setting up a working relationship between them and getting some extra project work out of the client. Wouldn't be billable to me, but it would be to our SME, who charges more, which means I'm value adding to our company at least.
