I'm on Mission 36 now (BEES). Been mainly playing Wing Diver because I love being mobile and lazers r kewl. I tried fencer and felt so damn clunky and slow lol.

Are Ranger and Air Divers cool? I hear ADs are support strikes and stuff right?

For me..

Air Raider > Wing Diver > Fencer > Ranger

Fencers can be the fastest unit in the game later on. Air Raider is my favorite because I love vehicles, mechs, air strikes, ect. Ranger is basic good at a lot, master of none. Solid. If you play on Steam, lemme know. I'm always playing when I have time and nothing else to do. Its my go-to for fun game.

So much so, that its in my top 5 played games this year out of 63 games.

Got any (early) tips / setups for Air Raider for me? Mainly what's good for swarms and then what's good for bigger tankier things lol.

Wtf peeps said mission 38 was an easy farming mission by letting the NPCs do all the killing but I got swarmed and died lol

And let's say I want to get Phobos and Spritefall for Air Raider. I'm guessing the number that comes before the weapon is the mission number I can obtain it from? And let's say I don't have any Spritefall yet. Can I obtain Spritefall B before I get Spritefall A?

Depends what difficulty you are on. With Air Raider, I usually use a lot of turrets, with a fast reloading cannon or missile from the sky; and whatever air strike feels good for it.

With the sheer amount of weapons, its really about what you have on hand and enjoy using. Experimentation is a big part of it all.

That should be weapon level, not stage number. Difficulty decides what weapon levels drop for every stage, progressively getting higher the later the stage is. But how it works, for example... Stage 1 on Hard will yield better weapons than late game Normal or Easy.

And yeah, you can get stronger versions of weapons without ever getting the weaker.

And yeah gotta try out weapons. I try to research but opinions seem to be scattered sometimes. Like for WD everyone recommends Lighting/Thunder Boss and Plasma Heavy Cannon/Stardestroyer Cannon or whatever. But Bolt Gun A1 and Plasma Big Cannon M2 and Dragoon Lance have been carrying me

Is that the level 55 Plasma cannon you're using? Because if so, keep using it. That thing is useful well into inferno.

Naw it's only like...lv10 lol. I'm working my way to Mission 62 so I can finally farm stuff on hard. But it does work on everything except fast flyers, has amazing splash radius, and I can do some wonky sniping on troublesome cosmonauts/frogs

fencer's my fav but definitely the most difficult. you're basically a one man army, though, with the right equips. but it makes for much slower gameplay, certainly.

ranger's my second fav, because it's so mobile and the damage is good. they're just so easy to play, and it feels the most like starship troopers. i also love vehicles, and they're just able to do almost anything.

air diver is awesome but works best in co-op. i would even say it's slower gameplay than the fencer, but mostly because it's more strategic and specific. if you miss, it's pretty costly. but a lot of their stuff can be really useful in teams or pairs.

wing is obviously the easiest to play and the strongest of all. they're not such bullet sponges in 5, which at least makes it slightly fair, but yeah they obviously dominate. i find it the least interesting to play though. nothing here will surprise you, it's all just op.

I finally got to 62 and started farming hard. Decided to switch things up and use Ranger. Holy crap. This G&M A23 LS is ridiculous. Decent Range, ridiculous damage (ATM) at 144-115.2. And I have no gripes with it being a semi auto rifle because I loved using semis in call of duty lol.

I did have to change the button mapping for Ranger tho. Dash on L3 was hurting my thumb since it wasn't a toggle so I had to hold it down while pressing forward on the stick.

Id rip off my left ball for edf 5 and 6 to be on Xbox

I'm hearing that EDF6 is coming to the west next year so maybe there's hope! Sucks that you guys don't have 5 for some reason tho

we have 2025 which is bc and is a great game

Not Xbox, just that it's coming to the west. Read it on the subreddit, that usually it takes a year for an EDF game to release in the west after it's released in Japan

yeah I dont have hope cuz 5 isnt on Xbox

Ill eventually buy a ps5 if the edf 7 doesnt come to Xbox lol I had a ps4 but had to sell it. Actually Id prolly just buy a ps4 again
