Not even trying to be smart, but maybe just avoid topics about politics and whatnot and stick to talking about all the other stuff we come up with. I find relatable ground with some users that I otherwise disagree with politically sometimes. It seems like a lot of your bad experiences stem from these more serious and heated topics.

I don't recall much about you tbh but we have an ongoing NHL topic if that's your thing.

Sometimes it seems like that's all that gets response. I don't mean that I'm making up shit, just that only those opinions are reacted to.

It probably would be good for my psyche to have less high stakes conversations.

Thanks, bro. I know it's probably hypocritical of me to get too upset at the bold when I've done the same on some touchy issues.

And I know it's silly to care about validation on a freaking message board, but I honestly don't get much conversation outside my various Internet communities.

It can easily be confused for making excuses, but I type up novels explaining my positions because I literally cannot handle being misunderstood. I want people to know exactly what and why I think how I do on anything. I know it's not neurotypical, but I treat interpersonal relationships like they're scientific studies. Evidence-based conclusions only.
