Michigan winters used to feel a lot snowier, from what I remember. Besides that Snowpocalypse a few years ago, we just get a foot of snow once or twice and then it melts before spring.

I spent a bit of time in Virginia growing up because my Oma and Opa lived there. The winters were always pretty mild compared to what I'm used to in Canada.

Driving through the mountains in winter was pretty cool though.

Well yeah it's no comparison, but the cold weather isn't even consistent these days here.

I literally turned the AC on in my car to cool it down. 70 friggin degrees in Richmond.

Don't worry. Everybody will get sick when the weekend is mid 40s with a low of mid 30s, and then back up to 60 on Monday

Yup. Remember...I think last week when we had that brief snow fall around 7 or 8am? It was pleasant to drive through. I remember when we would get 1-2 large (>12 inches) snowfalls every winter. I really miss it.

Well hey in another 10 years between that downtown revitalization they're trying to make happen and the casino, it might be decent. Riverside Dr though...god damn what happened? It's a corpse.

Fucking sucks here in PA this winter. I usually love winter and snow and cold weather and weve barely had any of it. Its in the 50s here today. One of the most fulfilling things in my life is taking a walk with my dog through fresh snow, and I havent gotten to do it this year.

I hope its decent, the casino that is, so all the naysayers will stop with the "duh its gonna be bad for the town blah blah" garbage
As for riverside... I honestly think its the same as it has been, maybe 1 or 2 stores shut down, but its still lively and people still cant drive down it!

No such thing as freaky weather anymore. In a given week, anything can happen. Unfortunately, I still have relatives who don't believe in climate change though. Won't read the evidence and won't listen to the truth.

I remember that the same, way back in the late 90s to early 2000s. Now it's inconsistent as hell during winter between the rain and snow.

Yeah I mean all the jobs and visitors it'll bring would outweigh any cons from it imo. Guess it also depends where they plan to build it. I only know about it when my mom mentions it here and there.

Well maybe it doesn't seem much different for you since you live there. I was driving there back in Sept after not seeing it for ~7 years. That main strip where the old Kmart is just looks like a graveyard with all the closed businesses.
