I am translating a German novel about the American space program in the year 1968. The mission is named Apollo 8. It is a mission to orbit the Moon, in preparation for a later mission landing on the Moon. The Apollo 8 mission is about to launch successfully, and the protagonist of the book is good friends with Jim Lovell, one of the astronauts on Apollo 8

This mission is going to be a resounding success, and eventually the novel will detail the first landing on the Moon. I am making good progress!
