Whenever I play a rhythm game, I always enter a slightly anxious and tense state while I play the notes.

And because Hi-Fi Rush is constantly in a rhythmic state, I feel like I always have to be on the rhythm, even though I technically don't.

So I don't relax myself until like the entire stage is over. And each stage takes me like an hour.

So it's basically me being in a tense state for the entire hour.

And I get tired.

Finished Stage 4. Parried a volcano.

Wtf is up and down

I don't think I have this issue with rhythm games that have scrolling notes/icons per se, but I feel this way with non-rhythm games with a rhythm aspect, or ones with representational visuals. Stuff like Metal: Hellsinger, Crypt of the Necrodancer, Space Channel 5, etc. I freak out when it when I try to play those.

So with that game, a run lasts under an hour, so it's not like I'm seriously prolonged at being focused.

I would be dodging on beat the entire time I wasn't fighting, just mixing the cymbals into the background music.

Found that helped me keep things more automatic, just practicing the one-two-three and one-wait-two-wait combos.

that was the problem you have to time your attacks to the rhythm of the music, I found it annoying
