Looks nice. The only things I would wonder are:
1) If you're standing in the deep part would you have something to lean against (and set your drink on) or are the bottom/sides always curved?
2) I would hope that the umbrellas/etc could be moved around to provide direct shade when I'd like it.

It hit 88 in Minnesota yesterday (after snowing a foot two weeks ago) so I'm ready for that to show up in my backyard. :)

It's sloped like a beach/ocean.

Cool. As long as I could set my drink down and reach it whenever I would be I'd be happy.

Not sure. He's drafting the estimate with more details for me now.

From the rendering it looks like it's 15-20 feet

Right? The last one was cold and sterile looking. This one is vibrant and beachy.

Lmao he didn't add ANY of the landscaping we talked about to that one probably because their charges for the lil sad pool were so high. They were charging $12.5k for those piddly little boulders

I love the aesthetic, I just wish it was about 7-8 feet deep. It looks super shallow.

Yeah I only want 5 feet at the deepest. I don't like to have my head underwater and I don't dive so I don't need that depth personally

Pretty hip. I like sloped entries, but it would be nice if 2 sides where sloped for entry, and 2 sides where the "deep end" that had traditional sides and a corner or 2 to lean on.

Those sand textures would barely have been acceptable on the N64. 3/10.

I like the free form design better. It reminds me more of a natural body of water. 90 degree edges aren't cute to me.

I like how it doesn't have a lawn to maintain in New Mexico/that state where you live.

That's what I unironically typed before I realized it's Jimmy Neutron level cgi.

I had a lawn in my front when I bought the house but I let it die because I'm not wasting water on that

I have a friend in Arizona and he also just let the lawn die. Apparently, the previous owners got really upset about how he "ruined the yard", even though it looks like how land should look in that climate

Yeah what is the point of spending money constantly watering something that isn't meant to be here? Rich people shit

And even if you are going to spend water cultivating something that wouldn't normally grow there instead of xeriscaping, there are countless other options that are more useful, less thirsty, and better-looking than "green square." Unless you're actually trying to maintain a heavily-used play surface, grass is just a terrible idea.
