In Rise of the TMNT, they are 13, 14, 14 and 15.
I want to remember that we have seen them younger in flashbacks and perhaps in some Tales of the TMNT comics.

Looks like itd be a lot of fun and pretty funny. Visuals look incredible

I see each version as a different reality. I have no problem with April sometimes being the same age as the turtles and sometimes being older. I have no problem with her sometimes being black, or even sometimes being fat. These are different versions of the same characters.

Sometimes Krang is giant brain, sometimes he's an alien called an Utrom. Sometimes Shredder is a Human Ninja, sometimes he's a demon, sometimes he's a rogue alien called an Utrom. Sometimes the Turtles are the same species of turtle, sometimes all four are different species. Sometimes Spinter is a Human who mutates into a Rat, sometimes he's a rat first and became more humanlike when he mutated.

Different worlds, different takes on these characters. Some good some bad. All real.

The true measure of balls in TMNT is whether or not Baxter Stockman is a black guy.

Shredder being an alien in that one show was really really dumb >_>

The IDW comic starts 18 months after they got mutated.

Why can't they go back to the 90s live action Ninja turtles with the cool costumes (non-cgi)? This new era is lame.

I don't mind it, but yeah I hope not every animated movie made follows this exact trend. Though the reason I don't mind it is because 2 of my favorite animated films (Spiderverse 1 and Puss in Boots The Last Wish) were both absolutely phenomenal in every way possible, but that's more of them being good movies overall.

Exactly. Most of the complaints come from people who only really know the Turtles from the 80s cartoon. These characters change in just about every single incarnation.

Anyways, this looks good.

The VA is turning me off. Jackie as Splinter is awful.

I don't see these fans criticizing the cartoon being a huge departure from the mirage comics by being campy and colorful but their quick to shit on modern adaptations, hope this does well tho the last time turtles were on the big screen was that cgi monstrosity we don't talk about

Kinda looks like 70s/80s claymation which is a good fit for Turtles.
