Once upon a time it was impressive when a brand would sell or depict rainbows because of how many people would boycott or lash out over it. Then LGBT (or at least LG) acceptance got big enough to where lots of brands hopped on and it wasn't really worth a damn because it seemed economically safe to do so. It was still good to see because it reflected a healthy attitude toward LGBT people as a whole, but it made people start rolling their eyes at possibly insincere rainbow capitalism. Nowadays it's getting back to the point where I kinda gotta respect companies that don rainbows during pride month because of the political climate and literal fucking threats of violence on Target and whatever. --- Hambo's alt. ...
