I haven't spoken to him in almost a decade, except the time he showed up at my job unannounced. He walked out on my mom, made sure she got nothing from the sale of the house, and completely fucked up the lives of me, my siblings, and my mom for YEARS. He's texted me a few times, but I never respond. Now he texts me that my last living grandparent is in hospice and goes "Shall I assume you don't care? You're better than that."
