I manage a theater and I've made that mistake numerous times. The range of reactions from laughter to anger has been a sight to see.

It looks like a power fantasy written directly for (or by) John McAfee but since he's dead he couldn't play the role.

Easiest way to get them to stop asking is to say you fell asleep during the movie. Haven't found a popular movie or hasn't worked for. If it doesn't, follow up is almost always how "How it's so good especially when (plot detail) happens!"

Then hit em with the "Thanks for the spoilers, I was gonna go try it again but I'm not now."

I just saw the movie and I liked it a lot. Fortunately for me my theatre didn't do anything to sabotage the viewing like I heard so much about from the news. I dunno why the lefties hate it tho. There's nothing political about this movie.

i see this is getting great reviews on iMDB yet i keep hearing about how cringe it is.

heck i saw the trailer and it put me off due to how corny it looked... lol

I'm sure the movie itself is technically "apolitical" in the sense that its narrative (at face-value) doesn't promote any particular political beliefs.

The problem is that it's marketed as "based on a true story", and because conservatives don't like doing research on anything, they genuinely believe everything presented in the movie is factual.

And of course, that's ignoring all of the QAnon bullshit behind the scenes of this movie.

Im confused about the buzz surrounding this movie.
