Nah he is still living and kicking at aroung age 26. He lives with my parents and when I moved 4 years ago he stayed, I cant take care of him alone hed be so lonely when Im at work etc.

Just because my suspected herniated disc I havent been able to visit.

Last time I was gone for a long time he ignored me and bit me when I tried to get close, he was mad at me.

Ah I see. And aww he misses you lol. I didn't realize they lived that long, I wasn't a very responsible bird owner, truthfully, so before a move instead of taking my 2 I found a good home for them.

Internet says 16-25 in captivity but oldest recorded is 36.

Well that's cool, but also sad because it means your friend is reaching the end of their journey.

I'm in a similar boat with my cat. His breed averages 14-16 years and he's 14, so only a matter of time. Fortunately he lives inside only and is well-cared for, so I'm banking on longer than average.

Your guy looks a lot like Don birb (the father of Omelet, who I posted above). He's no longer with us, but we still have his mate and two of their babies. Two more of their babies survived to adulthood but now live elsewhere.
