after the aftermath of the main series, simon basically spend his days alone, estranged in the new world. betty is gone, his friends (finn and marceline) try to help but they are so disconnected with how simon actually feels and simon is afraid of disturbing their lives so he clammed up and heavily depressed.

finn is coping hard from jake's death and use mindless adventuring to push the feeling away, prismo is just broken

I'm enjoying it so far. Not sure I like the retcon of Fionna and Cake's world being real the whole time, but that's a pretty minor point. I liked it better when it was Ice King's imaginary world.

Though, Marcelline seemed really rude and unkind. She was interrupting him and talking about her own stuff rather than letting him say anything. Then she cut the call short just to continue having fun without him. Felt really self absorbed and out character for her imo.
