my animals are incredibly considerate. they'll leave me alone if I even pretend to be asleep but when I make the same noise I make every time I'm ready to wake up they are both on me straight away.

I have an 8:00 a.m. alarm on my phone for my cat food with a special chime. Even though the cat makes little meows once around 6:30 or 7:00, it backs off when I say "it's not cat-heckin' time." I'm often up before the cat and still make it wait.

My cat used to wake me up all the time when it was younger. Not so much anymore unless he's trying to get in the closet or something
