You can still socialize in class and participate socially if you went in person, even as a commuter.

I was much more social than I was in high school and I had a ton of fun in college. I could have done more still though and wish I had come out of my shell just a little sooner in college

I agree with this sentiment. I kind of came out of my shell my Junior year in high school. My freshman year and sophomore years were mostly wasted socially.

Nope. Went to a majority commuter college, and I had major social anxiety issues. Didn't have a fun time in college socially. High school was better in that respect for me.

In undergrad I joined a professional fraternity that had parties and events like social frats, did internships two summers, got kidnapped by a group of Japanese students during my first couple months as they showed me stuff to do around town and also took me to my first cfb game, various innocent drunken shenanigans, and so on. Grad school was similar even though I didn't live on campus.

Most of you guys here think highly of frats?

I feel like I'm just not a social guy in general. It's hard to feel too much regret. I went to a school club once per week usually, hung out with them a bit outside of the club activities, but it was still usually related. Had some people I could talk to for class if I really needed to by the end. I dunno, maybe I should be disappointed, but I'm the type who really likes relaxing alone.

I don't that's why I joined a professional fraternity. We didn't do any of the stupid shit social fraternities do except that one time when a party got a little too big and some rando who wasn't a frat member roofied a fraternity member so stuff got shut down for a while. Definitely no hazing either. Outside of parties it was typically a bunch of engineering students doing daily study sessions together, so super exciting yay. Also the occasional outreach program like serving as judges for high school engineering competitions

Yeah, I went to plenty of parties, hung out in dorm hangouts a lot and still talk to like 10+ people from college.

My only regret is I wish I banged more Asian chicks >_> I was SURROUNDED by Asian chicks in college and it was bliss, but I only fucked 2. Once I got to the real world, I'm lucky if I see 1 Asian chick a week. It sucks.
