Honestly I'm neutral.
I was in the U.S. Navy and we were out to sea for an average of 10 months out of the year. We were underway a lot, and I absolutely loved it. I miss being out to sea, I miss going from country to country and all the different port visits. Have been all over the world multiple times, 50+ different countries, seen so many amazing cultures. I would like to maybe replicate that one day even though I know it would be a completely different experience on a cruise ship compared to my military service. So one one hand I wouldn't do a cruise ship because I have already spent so much time on the ocean and I wouldn't be able to replicate that same experience on a cruise ship. On the other hand it would be the closest I could get to replicating it. I wouldn't want to see all the tourist type entertainment stuff on the ship though. I'd rather see the engine room, the bridge, the inner workings of the crew of the ship. I went on two and they were excellent. Ive since learned how bad they are for the environment, so I doubt Id go again until they address that.
