UnfairRepresent 10/02/23 2:36:23 PM #1:	A 30-year-old woman has been arrested after allegedly battering her daughter with a frozen chicken. Hailing from St. Petersburg, Florida, Mary Marquardt is facing a domestic battery charge for allegedly striking her daughter, whose age has not been released by authorities, with the chilled poultry item. According to an arrest affidavit, the victim reported that the accused threw a frozen chicken at her, hitting her on the right leg. Marquardt's sister also witnessed the incident and confirmed that the defendant had thrown the bird, resulting in the victim being struck by the chilled chicken. It is unclear whether the victim was hit with a whole chicken or just a part of it. The motive behind this unusual attack remains undisclosed in the affidavit. As a result of the incident, Marquardt was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor count of domestic battery. She was able to post a $150 cash bond and was released from the county jail after spending approximately 20 hours in custody. Marquardt, who has pleaded not guilty, has been ordered by a judge to have no contact with her daughter. This is not the first time Marquardt has faced legal trouble. In 2018, she was arrested for headbutting her husband during an altercation that left him with a "busted bloody bottom lip." However, her husband requested that she not be prosecuted, leading to the battery charge being dropped by the state attorney. Marquardt is not the first person in Florida to use raw chicken in a crime. In November 2022, an unnamed traveler tried to bring his gun on a plane by stuffing it into a raw chicken wrapped in plastic. The official TSA Instagram account posted a series of images showcasing the inspection of an uncooked bird within an airport security screening area, along with the firearm once it had been safely extracted and unboxed. The accompanying caption said: "We hate to beak it to you here, but stuffing a firearm in your holiday bird for travel is just a baste of time. This idea wasnt even half-baked; it was raw, greasy, and obviously unsupervised."
